St John of Beverley RC Primary School is rated by OFSTED and by the Diocese of Middlesbrough as a good school. We recognise, through worship, through the liturgy and all aspects of learning and teaching, that every member of the school brings their own special gifts and talents to our school family. We encourage children to use these to take ownership of their learning and to develop to their full potential.
Our mission statement asserts that:
Everyone at St John of Beverley RC Primary School knows we are part of God’s family. We share, play and learn together and try to be the best we can be.
This is at the heart of everything that we do. Our aim is to assist the parents, the first educators of the child, to help their child to grow in the love of God, to develop their knowledge and skills and to be ready to leave our school as upstanding citizens.
All staff encourage children to have a love of learning and to develop an enquiring mind. We offer a broad, creative curriculum delivered through a wide range of teaching styles and extended learning opportunities to ensure that every child's needs are catered for.
You are always welcome in school whether it is to share in a school event, to support a PTA function or to express a concern. If you would like to make an appointment to see a member of staff please telephone the school office and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
